The Stones

Without much thought I had gathered quite a collection
A mass of stones

As I picked them up
Ready to use them as weapons against others
I saw my own sins engraved on each one

Judgment
Anger
Self-righteousness
Unforgiveness
Hatred
Envy
Bitterness
Condemnation
Offense

Convicted, I heard Love urging
Why don't you transform weapons into worship?

So I laid each stone down
Building an altar instead
A death of sacrifice instead of punishment
Turning evil to good
Trading sin for grace
